Default 650R

Thinking about selling the 500R, and the damn cbr600 (if I can ever get it to do something except backfire) and buying one. How comfortable is the 650? The reason I bought the 500, was because of the sporty styling, cheep insurance, and the higher handle bars. The zx's are just too low for someone my age, and I am just not ready to have a cruiser.

One of my guy friends has the 650R and he swears its the most comfortable bike he's ever been on. He thinks it has a great riding position, its light weight and pretty fast. Actually, I've been trying to talk my husband into getting one for himself!

I have been reading up on the 650 and it seems that it really doesnt look like it weighs close to 400lbs. I wonder if I can find a local place here to test out one, or even just look it over close up. I keep hearing they are proportioned good, and thats something I need right up there with the "within my budget".

I have to go for a test drive on one of these. I need a real comfortable bike because I've got a bulged disk in my lower back that acts up if I ride too long or I'm not in a good position on the bike. Being tall really small bikes are out of the question. I've heard a lot of good things about the 650 but I have to try it for myself.

I have the same issue with smaller bikes, for being being tall is good but with back issues I need something that I can lean more forward on. I am hoping this weekend has a little good weather so we can check around some local shops. I just need something I can tuck my legs back with and not have to sit straight up, so wish me luck and wish for some more awesome weather too!
