Default Gas tank removal

Hey it's been a while everybody, but yet again I need some KMF assistance. I have removed the bolts holding the tank down and been able to pivot the tank upright so far. There is a skinny black tube, but where does that end lead to? One side attached to the tank and the other side attaches to? I've removed the bolts for the sensor/fuel pump? (i'm guessing this is what it's called), but I can't get the sensor out of the gas tank. It almost seems as if it's too large to come out of the hole of the tank. What am I doing wrong?

The season is here fellas, I hope you're out there riding!!! Be safe--- Jay

The hose is a vent tube for the overflow around the fill up spout it just leads down the side of the motor and into the belly pan, The fuel pump needs some finessing to come out, Just turn it and wiggle it and it will come out just be patient and don't rush it, It's in there pretty tight so just go slow.
